Preparation. Step 1. Mix together the sambal oelek and Teriyaki sauce with roasted garlic. Step 2. Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a wok and stir-fry the carrots and pepper for 2 minutes. Add the mange tout and spring onions and stir-fry for a further 2 minutes. Remove and set aside.
Toss the rice with the prawns and vegetables, then pour in the soy sauce mixture and stir-fry until evenly coated. Scoop into serving bowls. Wipe out the pan, return to a high heat and add the remaining oil. Fry the eggs for 3-4 minutes until the whites are set. Serve the fried eggs on top of the rice. Average user rating.
STEP 1. Grind the peppercorns, nutmeg, nuts and sesame seeds to a fine powder in a spice grinder. Put the mixture in a food processor, add the remaining ingredients with 1 /2 tsp salt and blend to a very smooth paste. Will keep in the fridge for 2 weeks. Recipe from Good Food magazine, June 2016.
Nasi goreng. In a large wok or frying pan, heat half the oil on high. Stir-fry chicken and prawns 2-3 minutes, until cooked. Transfer to a large bowl. Heat remaining oil on medium. Stir-fry green onion, garlic and chilli 1 minute, until fragrant. Add rice, stirring to break up any lumps.
Mix and allow the Rice to heat up. 7. Season with Salt and Black Pepper. 8. Add in Kecap Manis (Sweet Indonesian Soy Sauce) and mix till there is no white Rice to be seen. 9. Add in the Vegetables and Tofu and mix well till everything is incorporated well. 10. Add in Homemade Sambal and give it one final mix.
